Zuckerbucks banned in PA?

Not really…

Last week Governor Wolf signed SB 982 (Senate Bill) allegedly banning the infamous Zuckerbucks from pouring into the 2022 midterm elections, but unfortunately this seemingly positive “election integrity” bill is not what it appears to be. Even some conservative news outlets are touting this as a win for free and fair elections. See The Federalist headline below:

However, a deep dive into the particulars of the bill tells a very different story. What started out as good intentioned legislation that would prohibit third party organizations from being able to flood the state with money for elections like they did in 2020, turned into the exact opposite… it provided a legal loophole for the money to flow freely into the Commonwealth’s election infrastructure, only this time there are some limits.
