Last night I got a text from someone regarding a Hopewell Area School District board meeting that said the board voted to allow boys who identify as girls to use the girls’ bathroom. As you can imagine, I was outraged. Hopewell School District is in a rural area of Beaver County where most of the population is very conservative and would NEVER want such a change to happen in their school.
So this morning, I made a post on my Facebook page asking if anyone else could confirm this. A passionate mother from that area reached out to me to set the record straight.
Here are the lessons learned from that experience including what you can do in your local area to fight back against the woke insanity that is attempting to take over our nation:
No vote was taken allowing biological boys who identify as girls to use the girls' bathroom. However, it was argued by the school board that this has been the “law” since 2017 and thus the school district has to observe this "law".
That argument is false. There is no such law.
What You Need to Know:
Government policy is NOT law.
There are 3 branches of government… Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. ALL law has to go through the Legislative branch before it can move to the Executive branch and be signed by the Governor, which makes it a law.
The Department of Education is an agency created by the Executive branch of government. They CANNOT make law. They set policies and provide guidelines, but their policies and guidelines are not law.
In the state of Pennsylvania, there is no law currently requiring schools to allow biological boys who identify as girls to be able to use the girls’ bathroom. The Department of Education, however, is pushing this as their policy/guideline. It is up to each school district's board whether or not to implement this policy/guideline.
What can YOU do to fight this battle locally?
Here is a question you can ask at your next school board meeting so that you can educate them on the difference between policy and law:
What is the bill number that passed into law allowing for this change?
Pro Tip: They won't have an answer because there isn't one.
Education is key, and the fix is local.
Announcement
I am going to be starting a Podcast on this platform to interview people who are making significant changes for conservative causes like this. My first one will be with Jason Say. He is an elected school board member in the Knox area who has made a VERY significant difference in defeating the woke agenda in the Keystone School District, but it wasn’t easy. He is going to share his story and give you action items and tips on what YOU can do in your local area to accomplish the same goal.
