When I look back at Christmas in 2013, it’s utterly surreal. The only bright spot I recall on Christmas day is playing Hungry Hungry Hippos for the first time with Savanna. She unwrapped that game in the morning, and we all took turns playing it with her throughout the day. Other than that, the day is a total blur. Shoot, the rest of that holiday season is a blur!
My husband doesn’t even remember much of 2014. Juliette was born on July 21st, and in the morning when we were driving to the hospital for my scheduled C-section, we started arguing over what hospital we were going to. I didn’t have the best experience at the hospital where I gave birth to Savanna, so I decided to switch to a different one with baby number two. Despite me telling him countless times during my pregnancy that we were headed to a different hospital for the delivery, on that designated morning, he insisted otherwise.
