A recent data analysis performed by Audit The Vote PA’s Director of Data and Analytics has identified over 240,000 registered voters who no longer live in the state of Pennsylvania but remain on the state’s voter rolls.
Half of them are still listed as “active”.
Someone still listed as “active” is able to either show up on election day at the polls and cast a ballot with no questions asked or they can apply for a mail-in ballot and return it, or someone can do it for them, and no one is the wiser.
Audit The Vote has reached out to all 67 counties and in our correspondence we indicated how many of these registered voters are in each county. Some commissioners have been receptive and have taken an interest in further discovery while others have not responded at all.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is still this: Education is key and the fix is local.
