I never thought I’d see the day where teachers are being reprimanded by school administrators for not being willing to reaffirm a students’ preferred gender pronouns. But it is happening. It happened recently in my backyard of Beaver County at a small school district called South Side Beaver.

The insanity didn’t last long because enough parents stood up and spoke out and the teacher who had previously been suspended was re-instated and the school policy that brought about his suspension is being re-evaluated.

However, I’m shocked that there’s even a school policy requiring teachers to recognize a student’s preferred pronouncs in the first place, but that seems to be the reality of the world we’re living in today.

Do you ever wonder how we got here? How did public schools start in the first place? What was the intended purpose? How did the Department of Education come about and is it even constitutional to have one? These are all questions I’ve been asking myself recently.
